October Intentions

Each month I set out on new intentions that align with my overall goals. This month includes a handful of self-care items to stay nourished as I finish up the final semester of grad school. I am thrilled to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel of this long journey and personal investment in myself. Below are my three intentions for October.

Reading in bed
  1. Listen to 1 wellness podcast per day. My favorite podcast lately has been Radically Loved on spotify. I have a lot of catching up to do on here and have been listening to it during my commute between studios.

  2. Prioritize me first thing in the morning. This includes completing my morning meditation and morning run before doing things like picking up around the house or logging into my devices.

  3. 30-45 minutes of reading before bed. I’ve made it a goal to not watch TV before bed anymore (despite that I really enjoy watching Friends on Netflix, so much to the point that I’ve re-started the entire series multiple times). Anyways, reading before bed naturally makes me tired and most nights, I’m only able to get through a few pages. A few books I am reading or recently finished: Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis, Bliss More by Light Watkins, and Influence by Robert Cauldini.

I find that setting new intentions each months keeps me balanced, grounded and also holds me accountable to accomplishing some of the items that I need more of in my life to stay nourished mentally and physically.
