Herbal Adaptogenic Masala Chai

Masala Chai Latte.jpeg

This herbal masala chai is a cozy pick-me-up that supports hormone health + immune system, and is packed with aromatic spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and cardamom.

Since giving up coffee and limiting caffeine to support my hormone health after experiencing 9 months of amenorrhea (no period), followed by irregular cycles post hormonal birth control, I’ve found numerous ways to continue enjoying delicious + nourishing elixirs.

I’ve reached a point in my life where hormone health is a top priority (I’m 33), not to mention hormones affect everything from sleep, stress, metabolism, skin, fertility, libido, and so forth, that I’m willing to find alternatives to coffee that better support my well-being. I’ve also experienced results from my lifestyle shifts + time, (period back, mostly ‘regular’).

The chai masala spice mix (from my favorite Indian recipe book ‘made in india,’ makes a big batch, enough to carry you through a handful of servings, but you can easily cut it in half or even more.

Ingredients

Masala Chai Spice Mix (makes a big batch that can easily be cut in half or more)

Herbal Adaptogenic Masala Chai Tea Latte (makes 2 servings):
