How To Make Fire Cider

INGREDIENTS
1 Quart apple cider vinegar – raw and organic such as Braggs
½ Cup fresh, grated ginger root
½ Cup fresh, grated horseradish root
1 Medium onion, chopped
10 Cloves garlic, chopped or crushed
2 Jalapeño peppers, chopped
1 Lemon, juice and a bit of zest
1 Fresh turmeric, chopped
1 Tablespoon turmeric powder
¼ Teaspoon cayenne powder
2 Tablespoons dried rosemary leaves or several sprigs
½ Cup of raw honey, or to taste (optional), added after the fermentation process

  1. Prep ingredients above.

  2. Combine all of the ingredients into a sealed container with some parchment or wax paper to any metal from corroding. Give it a few shakes.

  3. Store the jar in a dark place and let the ingredients infuse for 4 weeks – providing a little shake to the bottle every few days.

  4. After 4-8+ weeks strain the liquid out and discard the solids. Place in a clean jar and store in the refrigerator.

Voila – you have got yourself a homemade herbal tonic. Take as a shot as part of your daily or weekly regimen, drink as a tea with some hot water and honey, or use as a salad dressing!
