Dairy Free Strawberries and Cream Smoothie
If you know me by now, you know that I’m a HUGE smoothie lover. I love smoothies, especially for breakfast because they’re so easy to whip up, a simple way to load up on nutrients, and help keep me hydrated, especially with an active lifestyle. Since strawberries are in season this time of year, not to mention are oh so freaking delish, and with the Fourth of July around the corner, I thought I’d get a little festive with this dairy free strawberries and cream smoothie. This smoothie is the perfect summer treat to beat the heat that requires only 5 ingredients, so that’s a win in my books.
Strawberries and Cream Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen (or fresh) local strawberries
1 cup coconut yogurt (Coyo natural is my favorite dairy free coconut yogurt because its super creamy, but if you don’t have any dairy sensitivities, my other favorite is Siggi’s coconut flavored yogurt instead)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of coconut water or coconut mylk to blend
Handful of ice (use more if using fresh, not frozen strawberries)
1 scoop of collagen powder (optional for protein, omit if vegan)
Instructions:
Combine all ingredient in Vitamix or high speed blender. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed until smooth.
