Overview
This book is an entertaining self-help book for people who feel stuck in their lives and need a boost of tough love to push them towards living a more meaningful and purposeful life. Broken down into twenty-seven digestible chapters filled with inspiring stores, advice, exercises, a splash of humor and occasional cursing, this book can help you to identify and change self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want. Jen starts the book off by describing her life as a young artist merely going through the motions an unfulfilling life. She knew there was more to her life than living paycheck to paycheck or in her words living “a big snooze,” letting her self-doubts get in the way of being a badass. Jen made the decision to change her life which involved pushing her outside of her comfort zone, doing things she’d never done before, truly believing in herself and ultimately trusting and having faith that the Universe had her back. Most importantly, she emphasizes loving yourself for who are truly are. We live in a world of limitless opportunities; all you have to do is believe that anything is possible.

Recommendation
I highly recommend this book for anyone who feels stuck in their lives - whether it’s at a job that’s draining all of your energy, in your relationships or love life, or for those who truly believe there is more to life than just going through the motions. As a yoga instructor and health coach, I found this book to be very relatable and enjoyed all of the references and tips on mindfulness, meditation, gratitude, forgiveness, and letting go. This book really struck out to me as a positive and humorous source of tough love to get me to think about my life differently and really believe that there are limitless possibilities in this world. If you’re looking to create a life you totally love and need a nudge to get over your self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that are stopping you from getting what you want, I highly recommend this book for those who can handle tough love. It is not for those who are highly sensitive and easily offended.
