As a dog mom, I’m always looking for new places to bring the pups to explore! When it's 75+ degrees out - we can especially appreciate dog friendly ponds, inlands and beaches to keep everyone cool. Below are 4 of my favorite dog friendly places to take the pups swimming during a hot summer day on Cape Cod!

1. Kent’s Point, Orleans. One of my favorite places to visit on Cape Cod during the summer! Enjoy this scenic dog friendly park on a warmer day that provides a shaded area for the pups to walk, play and swim.

2. Sandy Neck Beach Trails, Sandwich. Go for scenic stroll along the dunes and enjoy the ocean breeze. Take the shorter trail #1 for a quick route to the beach, or enjoy the longer walk on trail #2.

3. Pond Street, Osterville. My go-to local spot on those hot summer days when we're looking for close spot to cool off. Great shaded trail to walk the pups and let them swim!

4. Cape Cod Canal, Sagamore. Enjoy a 5+ mile round-trip walk along the canal, stopping halfway at Sagamore beach where you and your pooches can take a dip in the water.
