3 Ways to Celebrate the Summer Solstice

It’s official - summer is here as of June 21st 2017! The summer solstice marks the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, also marking the longest day of the year and a chance to reconnect with nature. Here are 3 ways to celebrate the summer solstice and enjoy the extra daylight that summer brings!

1. Salute the Sun.
The solstice is symbolic of transitioning from the short, dark and dreary days that winter brings, to the longer, warmer, brighter days of summer. Celebrate the solstice by saluting the sun - giving you energy and fire to kickstart your day. 

2. Spice Up Your Morning Routine.
Take advantage of the extra sunlight by getting up early in the morning - even if its just 5-10 minutes! Do something that makes you feel great - whether it is meditation, yoga, or jogging - find a way to spice things up.

3. Connect with Nature.
Another way to celebrate the summer solstice is to get outside and soak up the sun! Go outside for a walk, take a stroll on the beach or at the park, or practice yoga outside!
