So what exactly is a cleanse and why do one?
This is a cleanse, not a juice cleanse where you can only drink your meals, but you actually get to eat real, wholesome, colorful and nourishing meals. So what's the point in cleansing?
The world is surrounded by toxic chemicals which find their way into our body through the food we eat, air we breath, and water drink. Even though our body is created to excrete chemicals, at times there are chemical overloads from today's environment which accumulate in our fat cells and cell membranes. When the body is under stress, it releases toxic waste products from the fat to circulate in the bloodstream. This causes damage to the protective intestinal lining, causing less nutrients to be absorbed. When we cleanse, we aim to eliminate toxins from the body to avoid toxic overload.
